Simone Williams, Managing Attorney with Williams Global Law, spoke at the Invest Caribbean Conference 2017 in Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda. The conference is an annual event focusing on investment opportunities and advantages, particularly in real estate and other sectors, including agriculture, healthcare and renewable energy in the Caribbean. The theme of this year’s event was “Transparency and Sustainability: CIPs in the New World.”
Ms. Williams discussed the new U.S. administration immigration policies, advantages of U.S. investment visas, such as L-1 and E-2. She also explained the process to obtain U.S. permanent residency through the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, and its similarity to the Caribbean’s Citizenship by Investment Programs (CIP).
The conference was attended by heads of governments, international immigration and investment agents, government officials, representatives of regional and international organizations, industry professionals, academic speakers and High Net-Worth Individuals.
