Simone Williams spoke to International Students at Georgetown University

Yesterday, November 1st, our Managing Attorney, Simone Williams and Miami-based Advisor for Foreign Investors Jack Findaro, Director at Visa Franchise LLC, spoke at Georgetown University on employment options for international students, following graduation. The presentation was sponsored by Williams Global Law, Visa Franchise and the Latin American Students Association (LASA).

The talk covered work visa options for international students, with emphasis on investor visas, such as the E-1/E-2 Treaty Investor and EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. According to Ms. Williams, “The H-1B program shouldn’t be the only option for students upon completion of their OPT period as students are subject to the unpredictable H-1B visa lottery process. If foreign students wish to stay and work in the U.S. after graduation, they should think about other alternatives, and some of these alternatives are other immigration options, such as the E-1/E-2 and EB-5.”

Jack Findaro discussed investment visa options through popular U.S. franchises, such as Burger King, Subway, Chicken Kitchen, Gelato-Go etc. According to Jack, “a franchise investment increases the prospect of business success while mitigating risk through proven products and methods. There are over 5,000 franchise brands and 700,000+ locations throughout the United States of which many qualify for E-2 and L-1 visas and some for the EB-5 visa. For a recent immigrant to the U.S., it can be a daunting task analyzing the different franchise opportunities, that’s why Visa Franchise matches investor’s skill set, desired location and investment size to secure the best franchise opportunity for investors and their families.”
