ATTORNEY SIMONE WILLIAMS ATTENDS THE U.S.- AFRICA LEADERSHIP SUMMIT IN WASHINGTON D.C.



Williams Global Law attorney, Simone Williams, was invited to the U.S.- Africa Leadership Summit, which took place from December 13th to December 15th in Washington, DC. President Biden invited leaders from across Africa in an effort to strengthen ties with African partners and foster new economic engagement. Delegations from 49 invited African countries and the African Union, alongside members of civil society and the private sector attended the summit. The Biden-Harris Administration reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to strengthen trade and bilateral cooperation with countries across the African Continent.





As part of the African Summit, Simone Williams gave opening remarks for a reception she hosted with the National Bar Association/International Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections (“NBA/ILS/ADR”), the DC Chamber of Commerce (DCCC) in collaboration with the World Bank Group ("WBG") during the Presidential African Summit to honor African leaders, including H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat. Simone Williams is a board member of the DCCC, co-chair of the International Business Committee for the DCCC, and the immediate past chair of the International Law Section.
