June is Immigrant Heritage Month!

In celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month in June, the District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser held a community celebration in Columbia Heights, Washington DC earlier this month.

Immigrant Heritage Month is a month-long celebration highlighting the incredible contributions that immigrants have made and continue to make to our nation.

Simone Williams attended the Immigrant Heritage Month celebration and was joined by fellow Commissioners of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Caribbean Community Affairs, (MACCCA), including Chairman of MACCCA, Michael Yates. The celebration featured international music and performances by local artists.
