Nearly 20,000 to become American Citizens around President's Day


On February, 15 the United States, its citizens and all patriots of the country celebrated President's Day (also known as Washington's Day).

This day is celebrated in honor of George Washington, the first President of the United States, as well as all other presidents of the U.S.

Around this federal holiday, between February 12-22, the official naturalization ceremonies are held, in which nearly 20,000 individuals become U.S citizens.

There are 180 ceremonies held across the country, including a ceremony at George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate in Mount Vernon, Virginia which will be held on February, 22.
